GOP Chair: Hudak recall ‘undermines’ Republican chances in 2014
There are so many inaccuracies and blatant fabricated nonsensical statements in this report which are really opinion presented as fact, that we’re going to have to unleash James Brown for some rebuttal work. I’ll take a stab at it first though.
To begin, Eli Stokols, this is NOT a partisan recall effort. A significant number of petition signers are Democrats, Libertarians, and Independents, as well as Republicans. If the republicats and democricans learned ANYTHING (which they apparently did not) from the Morse and Giron recalls it should have been that they must not ignore their constituents. Evie Hudak’s term is not up until 2016. She needs to go now. As Clint Eastwood said to the empty chair at the RNC “Whether you are a Democrat or Republican or whether you’re Libertarian or whatever…when somebody does not do the job, we’ve got to let them go.”
This is about accountability Ryan Call. An elected official’s JOB is to represent his or her constituents, by LISTENING to them to understand their concerns, then legislating and voting accordingly. It is NOT to sit in ignorance of proceedings dealing with life and death matters while making totally irrelevant posts to Facebook.
The people of the State of Colorado are merely fulfilling their responsibilities under the State Constitution.
Regardless of party, the message that should ring loud and clear is that if, as a politician in State of Colorado, if you do not do your job, you WILL be fired. It has nothing to do with winning regularly scheduled General Elections. It is about ensuring the job gets done BETWEEN elections.
